Dulwich Helpline provides friendly volunteer support for over 300 older people aged 55+ living in Dulwich and surrounding areas. We offer free help with:

• shopping
• gardening
• odd jobs
• telephone and face-to-face befriending
• friendship groups
• hospital visiting
• transport help
• a range of stimulating small group activities

VOLUNTEERING – COME AND JOIN US!

Do you have a little time to spare for an older person? Then come and join our friendly and happy organisation as a volunteer!

We need people who

• could take someone shopping, or could shop on their behalf
• could do some basic gardening, e.g. weeding, mowing lawns, cutting hedges
• could give a lift to someone attending an activity group, or an appointment
• could help with activity and friendship groups
• befriending – face-to-face or on the telephone

By offering an hour a week, or even a fortnight, you could make a real difference to someone! Please ring Julian Altshul, Volunteer Recruitment Worker on 020 8299 4594.

FUNDRAISING

We would also like to hear from people who would be interested in helping us with fundraising, e.g. organising events etc. Perhaps you are a member of a local club or organisation that could run a charity event in aid of Dulwich Helpline!
