Now in Adys Road SE15, this was the oldest school in East Dulwich. A deed dated 3rd February 1829 records that ''an Infant Day School for the care and education of infant children of the poor has lately been established by Thomas Baily, supported by the voluntary contributions of himself and other inhabitants...''. the school met at first in the basement of Mr Baily's East Dulwich Chapel. In 1839 money was subscribed for a school building in Troy Town, Peckham Rye. The school became known as the East Dulwich and Peckham Rye National School and is shown on Dewhurst's 1842 map. In 1872 it moved to the corner of Archdale Road and Northcross Road (see picture) and remained there until 1994 when it moved into the former Adys Road School. The former site - St Clement's Yard - has been turned into flats.
