Barry Road Crossroads 1929

Barry Road Crossroads The picture shows stationery trams outside Dulwich Library (picture from Janet Rose). To the left is St Thomas More RC Church, opened on 20 May 1929. After the canonisation of Thomas More in 1935, this church was almost certainly the first building in the world to be named after him. The church was badly damaged during the Second World War. On 15 February 1953 the first Mass was said in the restored church. St Thomas More RC Church
