(The Dolphin Pub gardens Sydenham) - from 18 August 2010 to 03 September 2010, 8:00pm: Following the sell-out successes of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Sherlock Holmes and the Curse of the Werewolf, Sydenham-based theatre company, Spontaneous Productions, are returning to the Dolphin Pub in two weeks time with their brand new adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ swashbuckling classic. The open-air production will be performed by a professional cast in the uniquely beautiful garden of The Dolphin - expect swordplay, romance, thrills and intrigue. Spontaneous’s Creative Director Jonathan Kaufman once again directs and adapts, while the fantastic fight scenes and stunts and created specially by locally-based fight directors Joe Golby and Keith Wallis. (Hope and Greenwood ) - on 11 September 2010, 4pm-5pm: We are pleased to have Esther Flatters and The Sugar Daddies come to the East Dulwich shop to perform for us! Come join us Saturday September 11th from 4-5pm to see them live! Some info on the band itself: Esther Flatters and The Sugar Daddies is a burlesque inspired band which visually advocates 1930’s glamour with a modern Swing/ Jazz sound. We are a five piece originals Neo-Swing/Jazz band, consisting of myself on piano and lead vocals, double bass, trumpet,sax and drums. Some popular establishments we have headlined so far have been Cafe de Paris in the heart of the West End, Lady Luck Club; a 20’s-40’s themed night in London, The Blitz Party, a 40’s bunker style party where we played to a crowd of 500 people and a festival at Camden’s Roundhouse. We have different types of sets available to play including lower tempo and and more up-tempo music and can cater for the said venue. Our set includes a mix of covers and original material.
